Protection of people from harmful effects of ionizing radiation and safe transport of various radioactive materials including nuclear materials are essential in relation to the safe operation of nuclear facilities. The establishment of the Topical Group on Radiation Protection and Transport Safety (RTTG) was approved at the 26th ANSN Steering Committee meeting in October 2017 to adequately address important safety issues related to radiation protection and transport of radioactive materials from nuclear facilities.
