Safety Analysis

Introduction
The safety of a nuclear power plant is ensured by means of its proper siting, design, construction and commissioning, followed by the proper management and operation of the plant so as to protect people and the environment against radiation risk. Safety measures include actions to achieve proper operating conditions, to prevent accidents and to mitigate accident consequences resulting in protection of workers, the public and the environment from undue radiation hazards.
